The Jacobites

Last Thursday we were doing a play all about the Jacobites.

We made swords and targes out of wood and cardboard. We were wearing tartan.

The Jacobites were ghosts because the English Govenrment caught up with them. That’s how they were ghosts. The five children were talking to the Jacobites. The Jacobites told a story to the five children. The Jacobites faded away from the five children. The five children wouldn’t forget the Jacobite story.

Then we were singing Erisky Love Lilt 74 and Charlie is My Darling and Johnny Cope, Skye boat Song and Will Ye No Come Back Again. And we were listening to Loch Lomond.

Then me and Dylan were fighting with our wooden swords. We have a picture of us fighting.

    Hello Dean,
I am sorry that I didn’t get to see your play at assembly. You made it sound so good. I really like your photos – all the boys look fierce as Jacobites! Your discription of the play and the songs makes me think it was very enjoyable for you and the class.
    Well done.
